CREDIT CONTROLLER VACANCY 

 

Medisort, the clinical waste management company for all types of healthcare setting.  For the disposal of sharps from dentists, vets, tattooists and hospitals, to sanitary, offensive and clinical waste in care homes, beauty salons and GP surgeries, we deal with the discrete removal and paperwork for all types of waste. We are currently recruiting a Credit Controller to join the finance team based in Littlehampton.

The Role will be part time and the company is flexible regarding office / home based working arrangements. Salary based on experience will range between £12.50 and £13.50/hr. Contributory pension provided along with healthcare plan. 

 

Key responsibilities 

  • Perform all credit control tasks for customers including chasing customers by phone and email, ensuring customers meet contractual terms, proactive communication, while maintaining a high level of customer service 
  • Work with customers to resolve queries by communicating effectively 
  • Build effective relationships with customers 
  • Escalating any concerns to management 
  • Maintaining accurate records of credit control activity 
  • Maintain and develop the credit control function 
  • Reporting the status of debt and overdue accounts to management 

 

Skills, Experience and knowledge 

  • Prior experience in a credit control or accounting role 
  • Knowledge of Sage Accounts 50  
  • Excellent numeracy & analytical skills and attention to detail 
  • Good written and verbal communication skills 
  • Effective listener, understanding of customers’ needs and finding solutions for them 
  • Handling high volume debtor’s ledger methodically and ability to prioritise workload 
  • Able to work to deadlines with good time management skills 
  • Ability to work on their own initiative and as part of a team. 
  • Ability to develop strong relationships with customers 
  • Team player with the ability to share knowledge  
  • Calm and professional, even when dealing with awkward customers
